Assalamualaikum and Hello,
To start things off, i'd like to take this opportunity to wish all my Muslim peers a very wonderful and blessed Ramadan. We're now 10 days into it and hopefully we will come out of this month as a better Muslim.
It is now less than a month before we all get back to the books now and I hope that everyone has been enjoying their summer vacation. LufBru, as always, has been active during this summer and allow me to fill you in with what we have been doing during this course of time.
Firstly, I'm proud to announce that the LufBru Summer Games 2009 was a huge success and I'd like to highlight the efforts of the coolest, most awesomest committee members ever!!. They are none other than Ayu, Azizul, Faiz, Muiz, Basir, Haziq, Syukri and last but not least, Diyana. We have been working on it as early as February and I'd like to applaud and thank everyone involved in making it an outstanding event.
LufBru was also involved in welcoming the UK bound students during the Orientation programme which was hosted by the Brunei Students' Union on 29th July at Institute Perkhidmatan Awam and also during the recent British Council Exhibition at the Rizqun Hotel. So let us rejoice the arrival of the Loughborough bound students with open arms and some bullying (LOL! i kid i kid =D).
Next in line is that there will be an ice breaking session together with iftar (sungkai) for the freshers and all the seniors are invited so that we can mingle around getting to know each other and stuff ourselves with food after a day of fasting haha.
Below are the details for this upcoming event:
Date: 9th September 2009 (09/09/09..cool right..i know!)
