Hope everyone is in the best of health and fitness, I know everyone's excited for the trip this weekend so those who haven't paid should pay soon before we make room for those who are eagerly jumping in the waiting list :) Incase you didn't get a chance to make it to the list, here are the sports for this week:-

Saturday(14/11/09)-Badminton-10 til 12 pm-NBC

Weekly Quranic circle and other information

Assalammualaikum warahmatullah hiwabarakatuh to all Lufbruian,

We hope this message reaches you in the best of time, health and iman.

There will be a few announcements to be shared to all Muslim Lufbruian. The events will be:

1.      Lufbru Weekly Quranic Circle 

A. For sisters

Date: Wednesday, 11th November, 2009

Time:  3.30pm (after the ISoc Talk)

Location:  Muslims' sisters prayer area, Brockington building

B. For brothers

Date: Friday, 13th November, 2009

Time: 6pm (after Isya prayer)

Location: Muslims' brothers prayer area, Brockington building

2.      Jummuah prayer

Insya Allah, this week jummuah prayer will be at the Muslim prayer hall, Brockington building. The khutbah will start at 1pm. 

To all brothers, please come early to set up the prayer room and listen to the khutbah.

3. Talks organised by the Islamic Society

Within this week, LSU Islamic Society are organising talks. For more information, please refer to the poster attached.

PS3 Day!!!

Salam and Hello dear LufBru-ians,

Have YOU got what it takes to dribble? to score? Or simply just play football with your fingers? OR do you have the ultimate gift of singing in tune?

LufBru will be organising a PS3 Day on the 21st November 2009 where the title of being LufBru's very own, King/Queen of FIFA10 and SingStar is up for grabs.

Sign up for LufBru's first PS3 day where we will gather all you gamers into one room.

Registration opens on Thursday, 12th November 2009 and will close at 23:59 Thursday, 19th November 2009.

Correction for the venue of Jummuah prayer

Assalammualaikum warahmatullah hiwabarakatuh to all Lufbruian,

For this week, the location for the jummuah prayer should be in the prayer hall, Brockington building. Not in the Victory hall. 

Brothers are encourage to come early to help setup the place and listen to the khutbah. 

Insya Allah the khutbah will start at 1pm.

In about 24.5 hours, all the seats now have been booked.
Any further booking, will be in the waiting list.

Make the payment to confirm your seats.
Details of how to make the payment have been sent by the Treasurer in his reply for those who booked.

Update: Book seats and tickets for Stonehenge & Bath trip

Update:

For less than 24 hours, almost the seats have been booked.
Only few seats left, hurry up to reserve. It would be in the waiting list if all the seats have been booked.

To get the benefit of the price, be a member of LufBru. It is advisable for you to subscribe before Monday, November 9th, in order for us to  easily differentiate who are the members and who are not.

Sports Week 6 update part 2

Salam and hi everyone,

I have received several messages from people regarding the Netball session this saturday, 7th of november from 3 till 5pm, as of now the status of the session is still at question, I will update you girls by tomorrow if I could change it to a better slot. InsyaAllah.


On a side note, tomorrow, friday, 6th November, there will be an Indoor football session at the New Sports Hall, from 8.30 till 10.30pm. As this is not a society booking, payments would be divided amongst those who are playing, and to be made to Asri Zaini who has booked the session.

Book seats and tickets for Stonehenge & Bath trip

Regarding the email I sent 2 weeks ago, next week we will be having a trip to Stonehenge and Bath.

Day: Saturday
Date: 14 November 2009 C.E. / 26 Dhu al-Qi'dah 1430 A.H.
Time: 6.30 a.m.

At first we visit Stonehenge, then we go to Bath, touring the city.
As the subject states, now you all can book the seats, stating:

1) Your name
2) Your ID number

Seats are limited, so book quickly by replying this email.

The price for both places including the ticket to visit Stonehenge is:

£15.00 for member

£18.00  for non-member

Stonehenge
Stonehenge is probably the most important prehistoric monument in the whole of Britain and has attracted visitors from earliest times. It stands as a timeless monument to the people who built it.
The stonehenge was constructed in three phases.
It has been estimated that the three phases of the construction required more than thirty million hours of labour.
Speculation on the reason it was built range from human sacrifice to astronomy.
The stonehenge that we will see next week is the final stage that was completed about 3500 years ago.

Sports Week 6

Salam and Hello ladies and gents of LufBru,

This week we have a couple of sport sessions lined up for your delight.

1) Badminton - Saturday - 10am to 12pm - Netball Badminton Centre (NBC)

2) Netball - Saturday - 3pm to 5pm - Netball Badminton Centre (NBC)

Prices are as usual, £1 for members and £2 for non-members.

There might be additional sport sessions for this week, so keep a lookout for an update email soon.
