Religious talk and Qiyammulail

Assalammualaikum warahmatullah hiwabarakatuh to all Lufbruian,

We hope this message reaches you in the best of time, health and iman. LSU Brunei Society will be organizing the religious talk by the BSU religious officer and the Qiyammulail. The talk will be for all brothers and sisters. The society will be inviting Ustadz Raminey from the Brunei Student Unit, London to give the religious talk. Also, we will also be organizing the Qiyammulail only for brothers. As from the previous email, this event will be held on Friday, 30th October,2009. The details for the events will be:

1. Religious talk by Ustadz Raminey

6pm – the arrivals of Ustadz Raminey

6.30pm – Solat Isyak berjemaah (Muslim prayer hall, Brockington building)

7pm – Talk by Ustadz Raminey (for brothers and sisters in J002, EHB building)

8.15pm – Dinner and free session

8.35pm – bersurai

2. Qiyammulail and Solat Tahajjud (brothers only)

9pm – Stay overnight at the Muslim prayer hall, Brockington building

9.15pm – Introduction on Qiyammulail and Solat Tahajjud

9.40pm – Sharing session

10pm – Tidur

4.15am – Bangun dan khidmat diri

4.40am – Solat Tahajjud and Solat Witir

5.20am – Subuh jamaah prayer

5.30am – Quranic circle

6am – sharing session

6.30am – breakfast and free session

7am – bersurai

*as usual, the events will be flexible

For brothers who wish to join this Qiyammulail, it is preferable for brothers to bring the sleeping bag or duvet(selimut) and toiletries (tooth brush, etc) before the Religious talk. If there is any question or need any help on sleeping bag or about both the events, don't hesitate to ask me by email. Insya Allah I will try to help as much as I can. All the good things only come from Allah.

Religious events and other announcements

Assalammualaikum warahmatullah hiwabarakatuh to all Lufbruian,

We hope this message reaches you in the best of time, health and iman. There will be a few announcements to be shared to all Muslim Lufbruian. Also, insya Allah this week LSU Brunei Society will organize a few events. The details will be:

1. Lufbru Weekly Quranic Circle (for sisters only)

Apologized for the late announcement, as usual Lufbru will organize the weekly Quranic Circle. But for this week, it will be only for sisters. As for brothers, this week quranic circle will be changed to 'Qiyammulail and solat tahajjud'. The detail will be:

Date: Wednesday, 28^th October, 2009
Time: 2.45pm
Location: Sisters Muslim prayer area, Brockington building

2. Religious talk by Ustadz Raminey (BSU religious officer)

Date: Friday, 30^th October, 2009
Time: 6pm (after Isyak jamaah prayer)
Location: J002, EHB building

3. Qiyammulail and Solat tahajjud (for brothers only)

Date: 30^th October, 2009
Time: 9pm (after the religious talk)
Location: Brothers Muslim prayer area, Brockington building

4. Jummuah prayer

Insya Allah, this week jummuah prayer will be at the Victory Hall. The khutbah will start at 1pm. To all brothers, please come early to set up the prayer room and listen to the khutbah.

Weekly Lufbru Quranic Circle

Assalammualaikum warahmatullah hiwabarakatuh to all Lufbruian,

We hope this message reaches you in the best of time, health and iman. As usual, Lufbru will organized the weekly Quranic circle. As explain during the last week Quranic circle, this will be continuous by weekly basis and most importantly that this event is flexible and informal.

To give the clear view of this Quranic circle, the objectives of this event is to build the relationship among the Muslim brotherhoods and also among  the Muslim sisterhoods as well. Insya Allah in the same time, we help each other in learning and reading our holy book, Al-Quran.

The details will be like this:

Events: Lufbru weekly Quranic circle

Date: Friday, 23^rd October, 2009

Time: 5.45pm

Location: New multi-faith prayer building, Brockington building

Information for sisters, Kak Azan will be the person-in-charge of the Quranic circle for sisters in the separate room (same bulding). Insya Allah will be explain during the Quranic circle.

Importance announcement and Jummuah prayer

Assalammualaikum warahmatullah hiwabarakatuh to all Lufbruian,

We hope this message reaches you in the best of time, health and iman. I have a few announcement to share to all the Lufbruian especially  to all muslimeen.

1.       New Muslim prayer room
Starting this Friday, 23^rd October, 2009, as agreed by both the university administration and the LSU Islamic Society, the Muslim prayer room will be moved from the James France prayer room to the new multi-faith prayer hall which is located in the Brockington building (near to the James France building, infront of the Stewart Mason building, SMB). Brothers and sisters can check from university map ( http://www.lsuis.com/site/lsuisprayer.jpg ), which is number 57. For more info about this new prayer room, don't hesitate to ask me or ask any other LSU Islamic Society committee.


2.       Jummuah prayer
Insya Allah, Jummah prayer this week will be in the new prayer room, which in the Multi-faith prayer building (near to James France, in front of the Stewart Mason building, SMB). There will a separate place for sisters to join the jummuah prayer. The Khutbah will start by 1PM. If possible, please come early to listen to the khutbah.

Just want to share this ayat from the Holy Quran:

"Believers, when you are called to prayer on the Day of the Congregation (Friday), hasten to the Remembrance of Allah and put your trading to oneside. That is the best for you, if you but knew."
"Al-Jumma: 9"

Dates of LufBru Events

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته and hello LufBru-ians,

As the social events were presented during the recent LufBru General Meeting, the following are their dates held by LSU Brunei Society, from November until February 2010.

November 14th - Trip to Stonehenge & Bath
November 21st - PS3 Day
December 5th - Gunwharf Quays
February 10th - LufBru February General Meeting
February 27th - LufBru National Day Celebration

Details on each event will be circulated on later dates. There are also other events not organised by LufBru, such as Malaysian Nottingham Games (31st October), Kem Ibadah (December), BSU Winter Games (December) and MAD Paintball (February). These events will also be informed as we get the details.

Alright, that's it, hope you all are having good days in Loughborough.

Sports Week 4

Salam and Hello LufBru-ians,

My apologies for this late email and also for the last minute cancellation of last weekend Badminton session. This week I will make it up to you guys because there's a 2-hour-all-four-courts badminton bonanza lined up again especially for you guys/girls!!! (serious this time, insyAllah). :)

1) Badminton - Saturday - 10am to 12pm - Netball Badminton Centre (All FOUR(4) Courts)

2) Netball - Saturday - 6pm to 8pm - Netball Badminton Centre

As usual, payments will be £1 for members and £2 for non-members. (Yes, we know who you are)

Lastly, as always, do your warm up before playing to avoid unnecessary injuries, especially to those that will be competing in the forthcoming Malaysian Nottingham Games.
